The Grizzlies will be facing an uphill battle heading to Portland, but this should be a close game regardless. Center Marc Gasol is a force to be reckoned with, leading the team both in blocks and PPG. He's a very consistent player overall when it comes to scoring, even if he doesn't lead the NBA in points, and that consistency will be a key for the Grizzlies tonight. Strong support from the bench includes Zach Randolph, a former starter who "has been more efficient [from the bench], shooting 53 percent in 25 minutes off the bench since Dec. 13."
The Blazers are fresh off a win against the Nuggets, but some players still aren't satisfied. Guard Gerald Henson stated that "I've had some good moments, but I just need to play more consistent. That's what this league's about. . . . Nineteen points tonight is good. It helped us win. I played some good defense and I'm happy about it. But I want to just repeat it tomorrow and do the same things that are going to help us win a basketball game." The Blazers are favored to win tonight, but not by a whole lot.
