Although she used to be known as much for her irreverence for authority as her fashion sense, Madonna's strict parenting style is said to have alienated her son, Rocco. According to the latest gossip news updates, the 15-year-old is said to have moved to his father, Guy Ritchie's house to get out from under his mother's constant control. Word has it Ritchie's move to support his son's refusing to return to Madonna, has exacerbated their already contentious relationship.
Madonna might seem like the perfect laid back mom, but in reality the popstar is said to be too strict for at least one of her kids to take.
One source in the latest January 18, issue of OK! Magazine claims that Madge's heavy handedness drove her son, Rocco, into refusing to return to his mother's for the holidays:
"She's a disciplinarian who tries to dictate his bedtime, his diet and who his friends are...Guy doesn't agree with Madonna's parenting techniques."
According to the secret insider that People spoke to, however, this latest custody dispute has a lot more to do with Guy and Madonna's personal issues than it does their son's preferring one parent over the other:
"This is far beyond a situation about Rocco -- it's about a situation between Madonna and Guy.
"They don't have a good relationship; it's more of a power fight between them and if he can one-up her. This is the best way he can do it."
