The Los Angeles Clippers came back strong after a mediocre season to that point, with a ten game winning streak ended by the Kings. The Clippers have been focusing on better defense, and it will be key to their success or failure. "During their recent 10-game winning streak, the Clippers allowed opponents an average of only 96.6 points while the Clippers averaged 108.2 on offense. That's an impresssive [sic] differential of 11.6." If they can improve their defense further, they may pull of a win against the Cavaliers.
The Cleveland Cavaliers recovered from a nasty loss against the Warriors with a win over the Nets, and will be looking to keep moving down the winning path to further their playoff chances. To recover, "[Kevin] Love suggested that in order for Cleveland to improve, it was 'going to take a lot of guys looking themselves in the mirror, and it all starts with our leader over there and dwindles on down.'" The Cavaliers are favored to win tonight, but unless they pull together against a strong Clippers defense, they may not come out ahead.
