Donald Trump Campaign Playlist Features Pavarotti, Adele, Elton John and ‘Phantom of the Opera

Pretty much everything that Donald Trump does these days is making headline. But here at Classicalite we are not so much concerned with what he says, but what he listens too. Turns out that Trump is a pretty big fan of Pavarotti performing Puccini's "Nessun Dorma", Adele's "Skyfall" theme, Elton John's hit "Rocket Man" and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s "Phantom of the Opera." These are four songs that are commonly played at Trump’s campaign rallies.

In his 2004 book Think Like A Billionaire Donald Trump opened up about his fondness for a little "Music of the Night." (via Vox):

“My favorite Broadway show is Evita by Andrew Lloyd Webber, starring Patti LuPone. I saw it six times, mostly with Ivana. Evita is not on Broadway right now, but I'm hopeful that they'll bring it back. Also, The Phantom of the Opera was great!”

Sorry Stephen Sondheim, no word yet on if he likes a A Little Night Music.

What do you think of Trump’s go to songs? Are you a fan of his picks? What songs would you play if you were running for President of The United States? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section at the bottom of the page.

You have a chance to hear the playlist in person at Donald Trump’s rally, Thursday, Jan 28. The event is a special benefit for Veteran Organizations at Drake University - Sheslow Auditorium and we want you to be there! The address of the venue is 2507 Carpenter Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50311.
