There is a new Broadway ‘Disaster!’ in the works and it looks amazing. Written by Seth Rudetsky, and featuring an all cast which includes RENT’s original Roger, Adam Pascal, this 70’s film parody is about to hit Broadway in a big way.
The official website for Disaster! describes the new musical, writing:
“Set in the wildest decade ever, DISASTER! is the new Broadway musical that delivers earthquakes, tidal waves, infernos and some of the most unforgettable songs of the 70's. ‘Knock On Wood,’ ‘Hooked On A Feeling,’ ‘Sky High,’ ‘I Am Woman’ and ‘Hot Stuff’ are just a few of the two dozen classic tracks. And speaking of Hot Stuff,’ DISASTER! boasts a truly outrageous cast featuring the Tony--nominated and Tony-winning stars of Rent, Rock of Ages, Hairspray, Xanadu, Guys and Dolls and The Producers.”
Disaster! debuted off-Broadway at St. Luke’s Theater in 2013. Disaster! goes into Broadway previews on Feb 09 and officially opens on March 8 at The Nederlander Theatre, 208 West 41st Street New York, NY, 10036.
