Broadway’s ‘The Crucible’ Pushed Back So Saoirse Ronan Can Attend Academy Awards

The previews for the all Broadway production of Arthur Miller’s famed play The Crucible have been pushed back by by one day. Star Saoirse Ronan is up for an Academy Award for her role in the film Brooklyn on the very same night, so the show has decided to let her attend the the ceremonies.

Saoirse Ronan has been nominated for Best Actress Oscar for her role in the film Brooklyn. This is Ronan’s second nomination and just one more shining achievement to add to her already impressive resume.
The Crucible was scheduled for Monday, February 29, but has moved to Tuesday, March 1 so that Ronan can attend the Oscar Awards ceremonies on Sunday, February 28. The official opening date for The Crucible has been moved from March 21 to April 7.
