Jazz in the Gardens Music Festival Adds Aretha Franklin & Janelle Monae to Lineup

Jazz in the Gardens Music Festival has announced it will feature Aretha Franklin along with Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds and Janelle Monae.

The festival, an annual gala held at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., will take place on March 18-20.

The Queen of Soul will headline the first night of performances on March 19 and will perform alongside other soul and jazz artists.

The evening's lineup: Kool & the Gang, Michael McDonald, the Average White Band and the Jazz in the Gardens All Stars featuring Najee, Alex Bugnon and Regina Belle. On the following evenings, Usher leads a lineup including Babyface, Janelle Monae, keyboardist Brian Culbertson and gospel icon Fred Hammond.

The annual festival consistently features Grammy winners and massive soul, R&B and jazz artists; last year's lineup included Maxwell, Erykah Badu, R. Kelly, Toni Braxton, Run-D.M.C., Sheila E., Jeffrey Osborne, Peabo Bryson and Freddie Jackson. The weekend is also known for its exquisite and unique food selection.

Now in its 11th year, the festival is expected to draw more than 73,000 music fan.
