Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Sell Wine for Charity, After New Breast Surgery Rumors [UPDATE]

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt recently sold some of the wine from their private French Estate for charity and raised a pretty penny! Their latest charitable efforts come after rumors that the award-winning actress may need more breast surgeries.

According to the British-owned Telegraph, the benefit was held for the Democratic Republic of Congo:

“A barrel of organic wine produced by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s estate in the south of France has been sold for more than €10,000 (£8,500) at auction, with the money going to support an agricultural project in Africa. Winegrowers in the village of Correns, where Pitt and Jolie have their chateau, 50 miles inland from Saint-Tropez, organised the sale on Wednesday evening as part of an annual auction to raise funds for the Democratic Republic of Congo, and donated to an agricultural cooperative which aims to teach young people about sustainable farming.”

This latest announcement came after a major U.S. tabloid claimed that Jolie could be undergoing more surgery before her wedding to Brad Pitt. Star is alleging that Jolie will be going back under the knife. This time, however, it will be cosmetic. According to an alleged insider, Jolie made a mistake in getting breast implants so soon after her mastectomy:

“Angie’s new breasts are uncomfortable and painful, and they’re driving her crazy...She did all of the research, and she knew it was risky to get implants so soon after the mastectomy. She’s not worried about her cancer anymore, but her new fear is that she rushed into getting her implants and there is a chance of infection.”

Jolie initially drew criticism for her decision to preemptively remove her breasts, however, she has since been praised by the medical community. Jolie explained her decision in The New York Times, telling readers:

“My chances of developing breast cancer dropped from 87 percent to under 5 percent. I can tell my children that they don’t need to fear they will lose me to breast cancer.”
