The Atlanta Hawks are reportedly considering trading point guard Jeff Teague ahead of the 2015-16 NBA trade deadline. That deadline is coming up quickly, so who are five teams that should trade for the Hawks' point guard?
1. Indiana Pacers
Perhaps the most obvious fit would be the Indiana Pacers, who have reportedly offered George Hill in a deal for Teague. They are in need of better point guard play and Teague would fit their new up-tempo style of offense perfectly. Indiana would be able to give Paul George a truly legitimate No. 2 scoring option and it would help put the Pacers back in contention for a title.
2. New York Knicks
Phil Jackson has been looking to make a move or two ahead of the deadline and acquiring a point guard like Teague would be huge. They have been searching for a new point guard for the last couple of years and this would be a perfect fit. Finding trade assets that would net a piece like Teague won't be easy, but the Knicks could make something happen at the deadline.
3. Orlando Magic
Another team that has reportedly shown interest in acquiring Teague is the Orlando Magic. Victor Oladipo is a piece that has been rumored to be available in the deal, which makes for a very intriguing option for the Hawks. Orlando is definitely a team to keep an eye on as the deadline approaches and would be a very intriguing fit for Teague.
4. Brooklyn Nets
If there was one team that is in desperate need of help at nearly every position, it would be the Brooklyn Nets. They have a major need at the starting point guard slot, with Donald Sloan currently in that position. Teague would fit perfectly with them and would immediately be asked to be a major scoring option.
5. Milwaukee Bucks
There is one more team that should be considered as a potential trade partner for the Hawks simply because of the trade assets they have. Milwaukee has quite a few young players that they could move in the right deal. Whether they would be interested in acquiring a player like Teague or not is another question, but the Bucks are a team to watch as the deadline closes in.
