Olympic gold medalists Meryl Davis, who is headlining the network special with Charlie White, explained in a recent interview with the Examiner that Shall We Dance on Ice will showcase a wide range of styles not always seen at official competitions:

"The show is a beautifully unique one which focuses on different styles of dance on the ice. It's quite different from other skating shows we've done and a pleasure to be a part of.

"The talent of the skaters and ballroom dancers coming together really makes for a fun event and some great energy!"

While there will be no shortage of world famous ice dancers on hand to entertain the crowd, J-14 happily reports that ABC has seen fit to bring in Jacob Whitesides for a bit live music as well:

"Jacob will be performing alongside world-renowned ice dancing champions Kim Navarro & Brent Bommentre and Penny Coomes & Nick Buckland."
