Rihanna Congratulates Leonardo DiCaprio on Oscar Win With A Late Night Call

Many have rooted for Leonardo DiCaprio to nab the Best Actor Oscar at the 2016 Academy Awards. Even his former fling Rihanna couldn't contain herself and gave the actor a late night call to congratulate him positing the notion that the pair could be in for a potential reunion.

“She was very happy that he won an Oscar last night and decided to congratulate him briefly via FaceTime,” the source revealed to HollywoodLife exclusively. “It was a very quick conversation, and Ri told him she was ‘proud’ of him.”

The first-time Oscar winner probably didn't expect to get a call from the 28-year-old singer because, according to the source, DiCaprio was "speechless."

“Leo thanked her and held up the Oscar so she could see it. That was pretty much the extent of their phone call,” the source added.

The source went on to say that the duo are planning to get together in the near future stating that Rihanna "wants to take him to dinner" for a celebration of his Oscar win.

But just when the rekindled romance rumors were about to explode, the source quickly shut down the possibility because the diva couldn't take Leo's playboy ways.

“Rihanna can’t stand Leo sometimes because he’s such a bad boy and a player,” the source added. “Clearly, they’re not dating but they do have a connection and continue to talk and even FaceTime.”

Maybe one of the reasons why Riri is not open to have another romantic relationship with Leo is because she's already busy kissing Drake.

The Sun reports that Rihanna and the 29-year-old rapper "made no attempt to disguise their romance as they passionately kissed on the dance floor" at Libertine nightclub in central London on Monday, February 29.
