Annapolis Symphony Orchestra Offers Free Concert

The Annapolis Symphony Orchestra (ASO) has announced its free concert schedule in the upcoming Lexus Pops in the Park concert.

This free Labor Day Weekend concert will take place in the outdoor theater at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis on September 2 at 5:30 PM.

"I love this concert! It is the perfect example of how music can really bring a community together," said Katharene Snavely, ASO Executive Director.

"The audience is diverse with families, couples, groups of friends and individuals of all ages from racially and economically diverse backgrounds.  It's a casual outdoor event that brings the whole community together for a fun and relaxing evening of professional musical entertainment.  As the leading cultural arts organization in the area, the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra is thrilled to be able to offer this exciting performance to everyone and to do so at no charge," Snavely added.

Led by José-Luis Novo, who has been serving the orchestra for eighth seasons, the annual event features ASO's full orchestra performing various repertoires for all ages. Among the popular pieces performed will be the winner of the "You Chose it, We Play it" on-line contest where the audience voted for their favorite piece.

The Lexus Pops in the Park is mainly supported by the Baltimore/Annapolis Lexus Dealers Association, as well as CFG Community Bank.
