Tony Winner BD Wong Talks ‘Gotham’ Hugo Strange’s Plans for the Penguin

One of the best things to come out of the 2015-2016 TV season was Fox’s Gotham. The Batman origin series quickly became a must watch for many, including Yours Truly. The show got even better with the Season 2 addition of B.D. Wong as Doctor Hugo Strange. Wong is perhaps best known for his roles in Law & Order: SVU and HBO’s OZ. Wong also has a Tony Award for his role in M. Butterfly. Check out the report below to get a look at Wong as Strange and this week’s episode of Gotham and Doctor Strange’s plans for the Penguin.

The official TV Guide plot synopsis for this week’s all new episode of Gotham, titled "Wrath of the Villains: A Dead Man Feels No Cold,” reads:

“Gordon, Bullock and Barnes turn to the wife of Victor Fries for help in finding him; Penguin meets Hugo Strange; and Alfred shares information with Bruce about his parents' murderer.”

Last week we saw Strange weird out The Penguin, A.K.A. Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor). Wong recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about his plans for The Penguin:

“I think it's safe to say that his meeting with Oswald is a sign of how he'll interact with the other characters. In the episodes that I've shot already, that is kind of his M.O., what makes people nervous around him. You're not scared of him because he's got a gun on you, necessarily; you're scared of him because of what he might make you do. You're not quite caught up to him yet; he's ahead of you. That's what scares Oswald, I think, the feeling that [Strange] is ahead of him.”

Be sure to tune into Gotham, Monday night’s at 8:00 p.m. eastern on Fox.
