Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes have been the subject of romance rumors for quite a while. The duo, however, has not publicly denied nor confirmed their status and have managed to keep their alleged relationship under the radar. Maybe one of the reasons why they kept mum for so long is because Foxx is worried that Holmes' ex-husband, Scientologist Tom Cruise, will go crazy if their romance goes publc.
“Jamie loves Katie so much and he prides himself on keeping his relationship with her private,” the source told HollywoodLife exclusively. "That said, if and when he does go there and put a ring on her finger, he’s not going to do it publicly. The last thing he wants is Tom [Cruise] going all ‘Collateral’ on him."
It is understandable that the 48-year-old actor and singer is trying to protect his relationship with Holmes. And although he wants to do things that couples normally do, he knows that it's not the right time so-to-speak.
"Jamie doesn’t know Tom’s crazy side and he likes to keep it that way," the source noted. "He’s heard war stories from Katie about what it’s like to be his bad side and he doesn’t want that drama.”
Even the actor's pal has warned him to be extra careful and to not get on Cruise's bad side.
“A friend of Jamie’s joked and told him he better be careful because Tom could morph into that crazy and demented Vincent from their ‘Collateral’ movie," the source shared. “Jamie laughed but his friend told him it’s no laughing matter.”

Holmes filed for a divorce from Cruise after six years of marriage. The main reason for their split was said to be about the actor's controversial ties with the pay-to-pray religion, Scientology.
