‘Tick’ & ‘Family Guy’ Patrick Warburton Cast in ‘Unfortunate Events’ with Neil Patrick Harris
It was recently announced that Tony Award winner, Neil Patrick Harris (Hedwig and The Angry Inch, Assassins) was cast as the villainous Count Olaf in Netflix’s upcoming adaptation of Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events. Now it has been revealed that Patrick Warburton (Seinfeld, Family Guy, Tick) has been cast as Lemony Snicket himself.
According to Variety the upcoming Netflix original series based on the beloved novels, will consest of eight episodes. It is unsure how long the show will last but we can safely assume will at least cover the entirety of the first book., The Bad Beginning, if not more.
Malina Weissman (Supergirl) and Louis Hynes will also be joining Harris and Warburton as Violent and Klaus Baudelaire respectively.
Earlier in the year, Neil Patrick Harris it was reported that he would be playing Count Olaf, the role played by Jim Carrey in the film version. Harris confirmed this new on Twitter, writing:
“I'm excitedish to portray Count Olaf - its spending all day with those three horrible child actors that will be a challenge.”
