New Mom Katherine Jenkins Goes Back to Work for the Queen's birthday

Katherine Jenkins has been in a mommy mood. Last September, the Welsh singer gave birth to her first child, a girl named Aaliyah Reign. It is understandable that the singer, who was once offered the most lucrative contract in British classical music while hardly into her 20's, , has said she can't stand to be away from her newborn child. When you are a singer as well known as Katherine Jenkins, you eventually get back in shape and return to your public. Festivities for the Queen's 90th birthday are what is drawing Katherine back to public performing.

According to The Express, Katherine has already worked with all the names of popular opera such as Placido Domingo, Andrea Bocelli and Jose Carreras. She is also already an OBE at age 35. Katherine now says that motherhood means "everything" and that she didn't see it making the impact that it has." I didn't see motherhood making this much difference. I knew it was going to be a huge change but I underestimated what a wonderful change it was going to be. I want to hang out with her all the time. We are a family and we love it. My husband and I are completely with this little thing in our lives. She is amazing." Katherine Jenkins married artist and film-maker Andrew Levitas in 2014.

All good things come to an end so Katherine Jenkins who describes herself as very patriotic (" I am very proud of where i come from and when I go round I try my best to fly the flag for Wales and the UK,") has choosen to come back and perform at the Queen's 90th Birthday.
