John Mayer and Katy Perry engagement rumors continue to roar in 2013. Claims that Perry is busy planning a wedding and considering a baby reignited after she released her new music video for “Unconditionally.” The single can be found on her new album, Prism.
If her new music video is any indication, it looks like Katy Perry has done a lot of growing up. Her new project feels much more adult than her last music video, the overly-playful “Roar.”
Katy opened up about the new video, when she spoke with MTV News. According to Perry, the video was more about evoking emotions than plot resolution:
"It doesn't have a complete narrative. I do that all the time; I usually have quite a big story line...This time I wanted to give a lot of gorgeous, beautiful looks, which I don't usually go for. But it's mostly just a beautiful video that is supposed to evoke this power of love."
Of course, Perry refrained from addressing the latest rumors flying around her and boyfriend John Mayer. For months now, reports have claimed that the celebrity duo are thinking of getting married.
Recently, the NY Daily News claims to have caught John eying an engagement rings:
“Bluesman John Mayer has been looking at rings for ‘Roar’ singer Katy Perry, who he started dating again in July after a three-month break. US Weekly’s ‘Hot Stuff’ column reports that Mayer is getting ready to pop the question to his pop-star girlfriend and his mom likes it. ‘She approves of Katy,’ a source tells the mag, adding, “and he wants to do it soon because his dad is 86.’”
This latest report certainly seems inline with others we’ve seen. This is especially true when it comes to U.S. tabloid Star. According to a source who spoke with the magazine:
“Things are going full-steam ahead for John and Katy. As everyone knows, they’ve had their rough spots, but it’s all ironed out and things are just wonderful for them right now. They couldn’t be more in love.”
