Hours after her controversial love life exploded online, Kehlani was hospitalized after an apparent suicide attempt. A photo insinuating that she cheated on NBA star Kyrie Irving with ex boyfriend, PARTYNEXTDOOR, made its rounds all over the Internet and it appears that the singer couldn't handle the drama.
Kehlani was taken to a Los Angeles hospital, law enforcement sources told TMZ, and placed under a psychiatric hold following her alleged suicide attempt. Paramedics responded to a medical emergency at her home around 1:45 P.M. and discovered the singer in distress. According to the site, Kehlani said she “wanted to harm herself” in the wake of her cheating allegations.
In a since deleted post on Instagram, the 20-year-old wrote, “Today I wanted to leave this Earth. Being completely selfish for once. Never thought I’d get to such a low point.” The text captioned a photo of her arm with an IV in place as she laid in a hospital bed.
She then reiterated that "no one was cheated on and I’m not a bad person. Everyone is hurt and everyone is in a place of misunderstanding.”

Kehlani, who has most recently been linked to Cleveland Cavaliers star Kyrie Irving, became the focus of online gossip on Monday after her ex, PND, whose real name is Jahron Anthony Brathwaite, took to Instagram to post a since-deleted image of him holding Kehlani’s easily identifiable tattooed hand in bed.
The singer then added a questionable caption, “After all her shenanigans, still got the R&B singer in my bed.”
So far, neither PARTYNEXTDOOR nor Irving has commented on the situation on their social media accounts.
