The Hills Whitney Port and Lauren Conrad are both engaged. Recently, the two opened up about their proposals. Rumors are flying about the upcoming ceremony details, as photos of the rings have already surfaced.
Looks like Whitney Port and Lauren Conrad will forever be linked. Not only did the two lovely ladies co-star in Hills together, and now they are both planning weddings around the same time.
It was Lauren who first announced her upcoming union, via her blog. The young woman informed the world about her engagement to William Tell, writing:
"I am very excited to share with you guys that William and I got engaged over the weekend. I am beyond thrilled! Get ready for lots more wedding content here on LaurenConrad.com as we begin the planning process."
Since then, Conrad has opened up about how the proposal went down. In the most current edition of Us Weekly, the star revealed:
"I had no idea it was coming...I thought he would wait until he finished law school. He didn’t even ask my friends [about the ring], which was a bold move. He said, 'I know you, and I know what you like.’ And I love it. It’s perfect."
She also discussed what it was like when she found out Whitney Port, too, was engaged:
"[Port] actually emailed me about something else this week and I hadn't told her yet so I told her…She was like, 'Oh my god we're both going to be old married ladies together!’ It's crazy how the timing worked out."
What else that’s crazy is Lauren Conrad’s engagement ring. Our friends over at Hollywood Life spoke to expert jeweler Shari Fabrikant, who revealed:
“Lauren’s ring appears to be a 3 carat round diamond set in a very simple, 4-prong mounting. It’s a very nice stone! If it were a G color VS2 in quality, it would cost approximately $50,000. The ring is simple but classic--it’s timeless and elegant!”
