Garth Brooks’ brand new CBS special airs tonight. Last night, Brooks released an eight-disc CD/DVD box set. The collection is on sale exclusively at Wal-Mart as part of the Black Friday event. Brooks is one of the best selling artists of all time, despite his ongoing feud with iTunes.

Brook’s new eight-disc box set was released last night and will sale exclusively at Wal-mart. The massive collection is on sale for for $24.99 as part of the Black Friday event and will run until Sunday. Brooks recently spoke to Star Tribune about his distaste for Apple's iTunes:

"So, until they change or I change. or some other company comes and gives them some competition, then I don't think you're ever going to see us on iTunes."

Brooks also opened up about his plans now that the kids are leaving the nest:

"Me and Miss Yearwood are free to do whatever it is we want to do. And I've got to tell you: Anything I do with that woman, I'm fine with. Any place that I am with that woman is home to me. But if I have my wishes, it's going to be filled with music, and it's going to be filled with music at a level I've never seen before."

Brooks’ broadcast of his final show at Encore Theater in The Wynn of Las Vegas airs live on CBS, tonight from 9:00 -11:00 p.m. on CBS. The official press release reads in part:

"'GARTH BROOKS, LIVE FROM LAS VEGAS' will feature Brooks in a very intimate setting, playing his guitar as he takes the audience through the musical journey that led him to become the number one selling solo artist in U.S. history. He will share his experiences listening to different musicians throughout his life, starting with the music of Merle Haggard and George Jones. Then, other musicians who influenced him like Simon & Garfunkel, James Taylor, Otis Redding, Bob Seger, George Strait and many, many, more. Throughout the show, Garth will perform some of their classic songs and show you how they influenced his greatest hits."

Brooks also spoke about the show’s selection, adding:

"'Blame it all on my roots. This is the soundtrack of my life. Growing up the last of six kids, music was the life blood of our family and as you can imagine, mom, dad, and each kid had his or her own favorite stuff and it all funneled down to me."
Meanwhile, Brooks' website, garthbrooks.com, features a new section marked with four question marks. Many are speculating that the showman’s cryptic message will be an announcement that officially ends his retirement.
