According to Broadway World, the main casting remains the same as was previously announced, with Ali Louis Bourzgui leading as Tommy, Adam Jacobs as Captain Walker, Alison Luff as Mrs. Walker, John Ambrosino as Uncle Ernie, Bobby Conte as Cousin Kevin, and Christina Sajous as The Acid Queen.

All of them are reprising their character roles from the preceding 2023 run of the stage musical at Chicago's Goodman Theatre

Joining the repeat casts as returning members are Haley Gustafson, Jeremiah Alsop, Sheldon Henry, Aliah James, Tassy Kirbas, Lily Kren, Nathan Lucrezio, Alexandra Matteo, Mark Mitrano, Reagan Pender, Daniel Quadrino, Jenna Nicole Schoen, and Andrew Tufano.

The newly announced ensemble additions, on the other hand, are comprised of Ronnie S. Bowman Jr., Mike Cannon, Tyler James Eisenreich, Afra Hines, David Paul Kidder,  Quinten Kusheba, Reese Levine, Brett Michael Lockley, Cecilia Ann Popp, Olive Ross-Kline, and Dee Tomasetta.

The production's music and lyrics are by Pete Townshend, while its book is written by both Townshend and Des McAnuff, who also doubles as the musical's original and returning director.

The original "Tommy" Broadway show held its inaugural run in 1993, which is based on the famed English rock band The Who's 1969 rock opera of the same name.

Its story follows the titular character of Tommy Walker who becomes an emotional wreck after witnessing his father shoot a rival.

From then on, Tommy spends his waking hours gazing continuously at a mirror. However, a strange innate talent for pinball suddenly catapults him into fame.

The upcoming Broadway revival is produced by Ira Pittelman and Stephen Gabriel.
