The Global Awards is an annual celebration of the biggest personalities, talents, and stars in both the music and entertainment industry, recognizing their achievements across 15 categories like Best Song and Rising Star.
Today, nominees for the upcoming Global Awards 2024 have been announced, including those from the classical music category.
Vying for the coveted Best Classical Award are "Britain's Got Talent" teenage sensation Malakai Bayoh; genre-innovating cellist Abel Selaocoe; trailblazing organist and conductor Anna Lapwood; Norwegian operatic soprano Lise Davidsen; and rising Korean pianist Yunchan Lim.
Winners of the awards event will be announced on the Global Player app this coming March 22.

What is The Global Awards?
The upcoming iteration of the annual awards event marks its seventh consecutive year bridging together all radio stations under the Global media company in celebration of music, podcasting, and general entertainment's most notable stars across a variety of genres.
These stations comprise Capital, Heart, Smooth Radio, Classic FM, Radio X, Capital XTRA, Capital Dance, and Gold, alongside Global Player.
Iconic names like Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, and Miley Cyrus, also fill up other categories of the awards event's recently announced shortlists.
Naturally, the Global Legend category includes timeless personalities that introduced a new level of quality in their respective genres, such as ABBA, Rod Stewart, and Dolly Parton.
In recognition of the recent medium that took the world by storm, The Global Awards nominates twelve audio productions for this year's Best Podcast Award. Among them are The News Agents, Big Fish, Difficult Women, Filthy Ritual, My Therapist Ghosted Me, and more.
Of the upcoming event, Global's Founder & Executive President Ashley Tabor-King CBE said: "Not only do The Global Awards put a spotlight on some of the world's most talented artists and broadcasters, but they also recognize the brightest new talent coming up through the industry."
