Ludwig Göransson's Recent Streak With Prestigious Awards

During the composer's speech, he directly addressed Nolan and his contribution to the score, saying, "It was your idea to use the violin in the score, and it allowed me to work and collaborate with my wonderful wife and acclaimed violinist, Serena Göransson."

He previously delved into the whole process behind creating the score, including how he and his wife achieved the now-iconic melodic violin line in the song, "Can You Hear The Music."

Göransson's thrilling soundtrack masterfully highlighted the inner turmoil and colossal ideas of the biopic's titular subject, J. Robert Oppenheimer, in a manner that complemented and matched Nolan's huge visual undertaking of portraying the full horror and magnificence of Oppenheimer's work.

The composer also mentioned his parents, who were sitting somewhere in Hollywood's Dolby Theatre at the time, during his receipt of the golden statuette.

"Thank you for giving me guitars and drum machines, instead of video games!" Göransson said.

This particular award is Göransson's third nod and second-ever win at the Oscars, following his receipt of the honor under the same category for his work in 2019's "Black Panther" and a nod in 2023 for composing for the film's sequel, "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever."
