Steve Aoki and KIDDO Release New Festival Season Single ‘Drive,’ Following Premiere at Ultra Miami 2024

Two-time Grammy-nominated artist and producer Steve Aoki, alongside Swedish singer-songwriter KIDDO, are meeting the summertime festival season right with their new single: "Drive," released last Friday, April 5.

The new song follows Aoki's recent hits "Get Lower," featuring hip-hop's rambunctious rapper Lil Jon, and "Everything You Do," a collaborative project with Afrojack produced under the name Afroki that features a vocal performance from American singer Aviella.

As for KIDDO, this new joint single with Aoki is a follow-up to her most recent release "Always On The Run," and popular dance tracks like Alan Walker and Alok's "Headlights" and "These Nights" by Loud Luxury.

On Steve Aoki and KIDDO's 'Drive'

Aoki is not only an economically successful artist, with just about 3 billion streams under his belt, but he is also a music festival mainstay that has performed across the globe on esteemed stages like Coachella, Lollapalooza, Tomorrowland, and Electric Daisy Carnival, among others.

This is why Billboard has aptly described the Dim Mak Records founder as "one of the most in-demand entertainers in the world," exemplified further by achieving the Guinness World Record as the "Most Traveled Musician in a Single Calendar Year."

Being a globally successful artist, Aoki has completed cross-genre collaborations with a variety of famed musical acts like BTS, Snoop Dogg, Linkin Park, Blink 182, and others. This time around, he's employing the creativity of Swedish singer-songwriter KIDDO.

Gaining initial traction as a singer with her momentous singles "Drunk & I Miss You," "Bang My Head," and "Coming Down," KIDDO has since achieved gold and platinum with her hit single "All We Got," which features Robin Schulz.

This success led to numerous features alongside rising artists like Charli XCX and industry giants like Alan Walker. Now, she enjoys the musical presence of Aoki in their new dance anthem "Ride."

"I'm so excited about this new release and getting the chance to work with Steve Aoki," she said about the song. "Everything with the song has come so naturally to create this catchy summer smash."

Similarly, Aoki shared: "I'm absolutely stoked about our collaboration on 'Drive' with KIDDO. Her vocals are pure magic and perfectly complement the high-energy vibe of the track."

"Seeing the crowd's reaction when she performed live at Ultra Music Festival was beyond words," he added. "This song is all about capturing the festival spirit, and I can't wait for everyone to experience it."
