Anitta, Blazing a Career Trail Globally

The Baile Funk Experience may be the Brazilian popstar's first string of North American dates but it isn't her first appearance in esteemed North American stages.

For one, the Grammy-nominated artist became the headliner for 2024's TikTok In The Mix event, the first-of-its-kind live global experience hosted on the social media platform, where Anitta performed to a sold-out crowd of over 17,000 fans at Mesa, Arizona's Sloan Park.

Broadcast-wise, the performance shattered streaming records after accruing more than 33.5 million collective viewers.

In 2022, Anitta once again became the star of headlines across the world as the first female Brazilian solo act to grace the stages of Coachella, performing a set that Variety described as a "mind-boggling mixture of genres, emphasizing the Brazilian and Latin music that rose her to stardom."

The upcoming tour also follows the release of Anitta's new album: "Funk Generation," out April 26 through Republic Records and Universal Music Latin Entertainment, commemorating the record with her hit lead single "Double Team" (ft. Brray & Bad Gyal).

You can now stream the single by clicking here or by watching the official music video below. As for the album, it is now available for pre-save and pre-order here.
