Rumors are always flying when it comes to Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice and her husband, Joe. Today, many are wondering if the couple is legally separated, after being charged with multiple counts of fraud. If true, this can’t be good news for Teresa, who already collapsed (allegedly) before her first trial over stress.
It was Star who started rumors that Joe and Teresa were calling it quits, after they wrote an article titled “Legally Separated.” The tabloid is known for its sensational headlines and this is no different.
The article wasn’t about any marital trouble. In fact, it centered around the fact that Teresa and Joe will have separate legal representation in their upcoming fraud trial. According to an insider, this was done strategically by Teresa:
“Teresa has stuck by Joe all along, but this is the best chance they have at a fair trial. Some of the charges are against [Joe and Teresa], and some just include Joe and his business partner.”
According to the insider, Teresa thinks that she can escape judgement by playing the Helpless Mother card:
“She has four kids, and she feels like no judge would take a mother away from her children...At this point, their legal separation is just another attempt to avoid prison time. They feel like it’s the right decision for them both.”
It seems that the trial has already taken its toll on Teresa. According to an earlier edition of the publication, Teresa actually collapsed before her trial. An insider claims that Teresa’s tough girl image is fading:
“Teresa wants everyone to think she is this tough, together Italian women, but the truth is she is scared. The night before her court appearance was too much for her to handle. She felt sick to her stomach and threw up several times before she broke down crying...When she calmed down, she forced herself to drink orange juice to get her blood sugar up.”
