Last Monday, May 1, global pop superstar Anitta dropped a taste of what fans can expect in her forthcoming tour through her medley performance video: "Funk Generation - A Baile Funk Experience."
This particular release contains five tracks from her new album: "Funk Generation," which includes fan favorites "Sabana," "Lose Ya Breath," "Cria De Favela," "Puta Cara," and "Savage Funk."

Promptly after the arrival of her latest offering, which was released via Republic Records/Universal Music Latin Entertainment, the Brazillian Funk craze has now spread worldwide and earned Anitta a host of rave reviews from fans and critics alike.
For one, Rolling Stone has described the record's shining moment as "when Anitta takes risks, whether she's showcasing puzzle-like beats or singing catchy lines over weird, harsh samples."
"She has what it takes to pioneer the future of baile funk in pop," the magazine continued, "and to captivate audiences both in Brazil and around the world."
Similarly, AP News said that "Funk Generations" is an " infectious collection of dance songs celebrating a once-maligned genre that also manages to experiment beyond its confines," giving props to Anitta's mastery over the proper promotion of her beloved country's culture.
Speaking of the artist's positive representation, Anitta was also featured on the cover of Variety's recent issue of Power of Women for championing what the magazine called the classic "youthful baile funk sound of the favelas."
The Brazillian superstar will also be honored at Variety's Power of Women New York event later today, alongside fellow entertainment industry icons and female powerhouses Shonda Rhimes, Amy Schumer, and Mariska Hargitay.
Later this month, Anitta will be bringing her vivacious reinvigoration of cultural music in "Funk Generation" through her headlining tour: "The Baile Funk Experience." The international series of performances will see the global phenomenon kick off the movement in Mexico City on May 18.
