Merry Xmas: Walking Phil Kline's 'UNSILENT NIGHT' in the Snow [PIX]

More than two decades hence, the choreography for Phil Kline's #UNSILENTNIGHT remains remarkably simple: People gather at the arch in Washington Square Park, and less than an hour and mile later, end up in Tompkins Square Park.

It's Kline's music, of course, that still sounds difficult. Add to that some less than hospitable weather, and you'll get the following response, via, what else nowadays?, Facebook:

"All these years I dreamed how beautiful it would be to have snow on Unsilent Night and we finally got it in spades. Thanks to the amazing, resilient multitude that surprised me as I arrived in Washington Square (and when I said I can't believe you're all here, yelled back 'of course we are.') The arrival in snow-covered Tompkins was the best, as if we had just discovered a strange, quiet linen planet. This one will ring in my ears for a while."

In other words, if you did #SANTACON instead, well, you must be an idiotic sot.
