The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is almost here and Spidey has a whole lot of new villains to keep him busy. In the new film, Peter Parker is squaring off with Jamie Foxx’s Electro. as well as Paul Gimmanti’s Rhino and Chris Cooper’s Norman Osborn. There are also rumors that Harry Osborn will be the first to dawn the Green Goblin mantle in the new movie. Meanwhile, it has also been revealed that the supervillain supergroup, The Sinister Six, may make an appearance in the third film. Meanwhile, a brand new trailer for the flick has been released.
A brand new trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has just been released. The new clip focuses more on Peter Parker’s need to balance his normal life, while still facing off against a major threat. Among the new villains is Chris Cooper who plays Norman Osborn, A.K.A. The Green Goblin. However, Osborn’s son Harry is rumoured to be the Goblin in the new film. However, Cooper reportedly has a bigger part in the next movie. Cooper recently spoke with MTV News about the future of the character:
"'[Amazing] Spider-Man 2' was an introduction to Norman, and--you'll see--an extremely odd introduction, which apparently will lead to something more...They sent me some material. But they said also that this Spider-Man is its own Spider-Man. We're just kind of starting from the beginning."
The film’s official synopsis adds just how important Osborn is to the plot:
“It's great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there's no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.”
Odds are that Osborn will be leading the Sinister Six is The Amazing Spider-Man 3.
