Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes 2013 Breakup: Hit Bump Before Rachel McAdams Dating Rumors

Looks like Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are certainly headed towards a breakup in 2013. It was reported that the actors hit a bump, even before rumors started flying that Ryan was once again dating Rachel McAdams.

According to a source who spoke with Radar Online, the couple decided to take a break before the Thanksgiving holiday. The insider revealed that the duo just needed time to reevaluate their relationship, telling the gossip site:

“There was a realization before Thanksgiving that they took things way too fast and were rushing toward a marriage that neither of them particularly needed. They’ve decided to take a break to reevaluate their romance...They both know they need some kind of resolution in their relationship before they go out and promote their movie, in which Ryan directed Eva in a very big part.”

This report certainly seems in line with others we’ve seen, especially from OK! Magazine. A source told the publication that it was Eva who ended things:

“Eva said the relationship just ran its course. There wasn’t a lot to say. He was everything you’re supposed to want in a guy--great on paper--but she felt like something was missing.”

A separate source went on to claim that Ryan has resumed talking to Rachel McAdams. According to the insider:

“Rachel is pushing hard to get him back, and he’s becoming more and more receptive to her. They talk and message each other all the time.”

The source also claims that it was McAdams who ran to Gosling after her own high-profile breakup. The same source claims that Ryan comforted the young beauty in her time of need:

“She was so broken hearted and devastated. She thought they would be together forever and was confused as to why it fell apart. She reached out to Ryan to get his advice and since then they’ve been getting closer and closer.”
