Austin & Ally’s leading man Ross Lynch has what it takes. The actor/dancer/singer even takes time out of his busy schedule to focus on his family. Lynch and his family band, R5, recently went on a vacation at the Hawaiian Disney Resort & Spa, Aulani. The family outing was captured on Disney’s 365, where the shirtless Lynch gang caught a few waves. After spending the day in the sun, the band of siblings went on to perform five acoustic versions of their new songs. Luckily for fans, the performances were filmed and will air today on The Disney Channel in a special called Take Five with R5.
Ross Lynch is proving himself to be a true triple threat--acting, singing and dancing his way to fame on Disney’s Austin and Ally and the hit Disney Channel film musical, Teen Beach Movie. The young, soon-to-be superstar is just one member of an incredibly talented band. Siblings Rydel, Riker, Rocky and their family friend, Ratliff, join Ross to form the aptly named band R5.
The band just released their debut album, Louder. Their official website describes the record by saying:
"In its 11 tracks, Louder establishes R5 as the foremost up-and-coming young pop/rock band today. 'We wanted to put out a fun album,' says Rydel Lynch (keyboards/vocals) who, with her brothers Riker (bass/vocals), Ross (lead vocals/guitar) and Rocky (guitar/vocals), and best friend Ratliff (drums) make up R5. 'We wanted to make an upbeat and Inspirational album you want to play 24/7.'"
As teased by their appearance on Disney’s 365, Ross and the gang performed five unplugged acoustic songs at Disney’s Hawaiian Resort & Spa, Aulani. The special called Take 5 with R5 will air today, Saturday, December 21 starting at 4 p.m. Check out the Disney 365 special and let us know what you think.
