It has been a fantastic year for 34-year-old Voice judge Adam Levine. NBC’s take-off series hit The Voice has made him the house hold name that he never would have been as just the singer for Maroon 5. Now, not only has he been named Sexist Man Alive, he has somehow tricked 24-year-old Victoria Secret model Behati Prinsloo to agree to marry him.
Levine and friends led a standing ovation from the sideline at the 2013 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, when the Namibian-born super model made her debut. Perhaps it was this very public display that pressured the star into accepting the proposal. No one knows for sure what dark secrets or magical powers Levine is using to exert his nefarious will over this poor hapless girl.
No one can be sure, for that matter, just who was bribed at People to even get his name in the running for Sexiest Man Alive. What we do know concretely is the wordsmith’s poetic response to People following news that he had won the prestigious award:
