Will Ferrell and Steve Carell didn’t get where they are in their stellar careers by focusing single-mindedly on their art, instead of their loves. They separately spoke about how each makes time for their long-time wife, as well as movies.
While no one expects Will Ferrel or Steve Carell to act as aloof or cagey as they sometimes appear on screen, you might be surprised that they are a pair of cute ol’ teddy bears.
The stars, who each have achieved success in the own right, recently teamed up again for Anchorman sequel Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. Perhaps, birds of a feather do flock together.
Hollywood nice guy Steve Carell recently relayed a heartwarming story about the first time he ever asked his wife, Nancy Walls, out:
“I beat around the bush [before asking her out] and said something stupid like, 'Well, you know, if I were to ever ask someone out, it would be someone like you.' It's so stupid, but it was all self-protection. She was the same way: 'If somebody like you were to ask me out, I would definitely go out with him. If there was a person like you.'"
Not to be outdone in cuteness, Will Ferrell told Us Weekly, when asked about his and his wife’s hectic schedules:
“We find time. We’re able to steal away for a moment here and there. We’re also not afraid to leave our kids home alone without a sitter and just tell them how to work the cell phone.”
