Sam and Cat is back. Despite cancellation rumors, the first all new episode of 2014 airs this Saturday, January 04, 2014. You can kick the New Year off right with your favorite Nickelodeon stars, Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande. Meanwhile, the upcoming iCarly and Victorious crossover reunion episode finally has a release date. The episode features the return of Matt Bennett, Nathan Kress and Liz Gillies who played Robbie, Freddy and Jade, respectively.
Don’t believe everything you read on the internet, kiddies. Sam and Cat has not been cancelled. In fact, the hit show is returning this Saturday, Jan 4, with an all new episode. The official synopsis for the new episode, titled "#Magic ATM," reveals:
“Sam notices that Cat is spending a lot of money; Cat shows Sam a 'Magic ATM' that gives away free money.”
This is great news for fans who thought the show may have been canceled. Fans had good reason to worry considering that Victorious, Cat’s other series, was unjustly canceled. However, fans have not seen the last of the Victorious cast.
The highly anticipated one-hour iCarly and Victorious reunion special has finally received an official air date. The episode, titled "#The Great Tuna Jump: Reunion Special," is scheduled to air on January 18, 2014. The episode will features the return of Freddie, Robbie and Jade. The official plot summary as revealed by J14, reads:
“When Sam meets Cat's friend Jade from Hollywood Arts, Sam and Jade become friends, leaving Cat feeling a little left out. Taking some questionable advice from Nona, Cat decides to retaliate by ‘stealing’ a friend of Sam's--and it's Freddie Benson! As Cat tries to get cozy with Freddie, Sam finds out and goes after a friend of Cat's-- Robbie Shapiro! The jealousy comes to a crashing climax at Fisherman's Wharf, where Dice has hired Sam to jump her motorcycle over a tank full of vicious man-biting tuna.”
"#The Great Tuna Jump" is a reference to Happy Days when the Fonzie jumped a shark on a jet ski’. Speaking of Happy Days, Scott Baio will make a guest appearance in the new episode on Saturday.
