Duck Dynasty was known as a family show that garnered 11 million viewers a week, but that has changed for some people. The cast has said they will stand behind patriarch Phil Robertson's gay bashing, because hate is his religious right.
The eldest Robertson drew ire for the judgmental views he expressed about homosexuality and homosexuals to GQ:
“Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men. Don't be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers--they won't inherit the kingdom of God. Don't deceive yourself. It's not right.”
And, of course, he also told GQ:
“It seems like, to me, a vagina--as a man--would be more desirable than a man's anus. That's just me. I'm just thinking...But hey, sin: It's not logical, my man. It's just not logical.”
Not everyone in the Robertson family shares his hateful views, but the family would never side against him, regardless of what he said. A family insider commented in Life & Style about the family dynamic:
“They always put family first. They will stand by him.”
The family released an official statement Dec.19, regarding the fallout. (via Life & Style)

It is sad to think that a show that once stood for family values like love and acceptance, now, seems hell bound and determined to change their catchphrase from “Happy, Happy, Happy” to “God Hates Fags.”
