UK’s Fathers4Justice Campaigns Call Kate Winslet, Halle Berry and Katie Holmes Bad Mothers

UK-based father’s rights organization Fathers4Justice is lashing out this holiday season with some rather ugly smear campaigns. The group has launched a poster campaign to publicly shame celebrity mothers, like Kate Winslet, Halle Berry, Kim Basinger and Katie Holmes, for allegedly keeping their kids away from the children’s fathers.

Everyone understands that the holidays can a be very frustrating time for those who want to see their loved ones but can't.

People who would like to see their children but are unable to due to restrictions placed by the other parent, would understandably like to do something to change that predicament. And the fathers seem reasonable enough on their Fathers4Justice website:

“Fatherlessness is an obscenity. No child should be denied their human right to a father yet nearly 1 in 3 children now lives without a father in the UK--that’s nearly 4 million fatherless children. Every day 200 children will lose contact with their father & other family members in secret family courts. Help us end the cruel and degrading treatment of families by the government.”

What makes less sense is how attacking figures that are loved by everyday folks is going to change any government’s position on father’s rights. Several of the women, including Halle Berry and Kate Winslet, don’t even have any real custody issues with their baby daddies.

Kate Winslet doesn’t see the sense in it, and she is fighting back. The actress doesn’t seem to have any access issues with either of her children’s fathers. Her former husband Sam Mendes even defended her and publicly criticized the posters.

Winslet contacted her lawyer after seeing one of the questionable posters during the Christmas holidays. Her attorney, according to Star, commented on the allegations, calling them “baseless and offensive.”

There has been no apology issued by anyone to anyone at this time, but we will keep you updated.
