The world could tell Nicole Richie was in trouble back in 2006, when the model daughter of Lionel Richie appeared everywhere looking sick and anorexic. The clothing line designer mother seemed to get her life and health back on track when she became pregnant with her first child, but now her diet plan has her looking unhealthy again.
The star had at one time been known for her shapely figure, but by 2006 her living mummy-like frame had everyone speculating about an eating disorder.
Then in 2007, Richie became pregnant with her first child, who she credits with saving her life. The star married singer Joel Madden and launched a clothing line, rounding out her near perfect life.
Things are not what they once were. Richie is no longer pregnant. Madden is in Australia working as a judge on The Voice there. And Richie is having to do some much needed revamping of her fashion line.
All the stress, along with her gluten-free, portion controlled diet are allegedly taking their toll on Richie. A server at an L.A. eatery told Life & Style she doesn’t even look like a woman any longer:
“I thought, What’s a little boy doing at the bar? She is super thin. I’ve never seen an adult woman who looks so freakishly small.”
