According to numerous reports, Amanda Bynes' mental health and illness may be improving. Photos have emerged that suggest Amanda is attending college. In more good news for the actress, it appears that charges related to her infamous bong throwing incident will be dropped.
E! News is reporting that Amanda Bynes is currently attending the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in California. One source who spoke to the gossip site claims that Amanda is adjusting well:
"She was very nice, friendly and chatting with her classmates...[Amanda was] originally going to be a fashion design major but has now decided to pursue merchandise product development. She is enrolled part-time for the winter quarter."
In another bit of good news for Amanda, it appears that charges may be dropped in her now infamous role in Tossed Bong Gate 2013, as Huffington Post reports:
"Amanda Bynes got some good news regarding her bong-tossing debacle. The case will be dismissed from court in six months, so long as Bynes continues to receive counseling twice a week and stays out of legal trouble...The former child star did not appear in court on Friday (Jan. 10) when her attorney, Gerald Shargel, filed an affidavit saying that she has agreed to continue her counseling in hopes of seeing the case dropped."
Unfortunately, the starlet will still be facing her DUI charges, as TMZ revealed that Amanda is mentally capable of standing trial:
"Amanda Bynes is mentally capable of understanding the nature of the criminal charges she faces, and as a result the road is now clear for her to stand trial for DUI. Amanda's case was in Mental Health Court this AM, and the judge read the court-ordered medical evaluation of the actress, and determined she is now competent to face the DUI charges."
