Cheating Carrie Underwood Net Worth Awarded Forbes; Celebrates Grand Ole Opry Reintroduction to CRS

The past few months have certainly been exciting for country music superstar Carrie Underwood. Following her live performance of The Sound of Music on television, Forbes doffed their hats to her sizable net worth. The star, who has been accused of cheating on her husband with Brad Paisley lately, was the "Top Earner” of all the American Idol alumni. She will help herald the return of the Grand Ole Opry to the educational Country Radio Seminar.

According to the most recent Forbes Carrie Underwood has netted more money than any other American Idol reality show winner.

The top earner made $31 million dollars between June 2012 and 2013 alone, and that is not all. When you include prize money, record sells, 100 tour dates a year and lucrative endorsement deals with companies like Olay, the star has made $83 million in the five years since she won American Idol.

Is it any wonder that the Grand Ole Opry chose Underwood, a member since 2008, to kick off the show at Nashville Convention Center this February?

The Opry is excited to be a part of convention and trade show that draws 1,000 country radio delegates and 1,000 music industry professional to Nashville for three days every year, according to Opry Vice-President and General Manager Pete Fisher’s official statement (via Examiner):

“We were thrilled to introduce the Opry to CRS last year. The show was a home run, and we’re looking forward to making history again at CRS 2014.”

Sounds like a good gig, but what does it pay?
