Allegedly Drunk Anne Hathaway Nearly Drowns Before 'Song One' Sundance Premiere [RUMORS]

Anne Hathaway, who reportedly nearly drowned, may have been drunk during the incident. Luckily, her swimming fiasco occurred before the premiere of her new movie Song One at Sundance.

On January 8, the world almost lost the talented and beautiful actress. While vacationing in Hawaii, the actress were nearly overpowered by a dangerous riptide.

Multiple reports are circulating about the incident, and one source gave their story to Star. According to the eyewitness, Anne may have been drinking:

"Anne had been lying on the beach drinking three or four Bud Lights, and since she's such a thin girl, I'm sure she was feeling a buzz. She went for a dip to escape the heat, but 15 minutes into it, a local surfer told Adam to check on his wife because it looked like she was drowning."

Luckily, husband Adam Shulman rushed to her aide. Once they were able to get Anne back on land, it was discovered that she sustained an injury from the reef:

"Adam dashed back into their rental house for a first-aid kit. He sucked on her toe to get the toxins out, then used antiseptic and bandaged her up."

Anne was doing just fine on Monday, when her film Song One premiered at Sundance. Gossip site Just Jared offers a synopsis of the flick:

"Anne's film Song One is set to premiere at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival later today! The film is about a young archaeologist who returns home from a dig in order to see her injured brother, and soon she strikes up a relationship with his favorite musician."
