Season 13 Dancing With The Stars winner J.R. Martinez survived Iraq, the perils of daytime soaps and even reality television, but he can't take one more minute with girlfriend of 4 years, actress Diana Gonzalez-Jones. He took to Facebook to announce their breakup and let it be known that mother of his daughter Lauryn has changed into a person he would rather not be around.
The 30-year-old Army vet first worked his way into America’s heart appearing as once wounded veteran on All My Children.
It was on the set of that daytime drama that he first met actress Diana Gonzalez-Jones. The two quickly become an item, and in May 2012 they had daughter Lauryn Anabelle.
But things never last, and Martinez officially announced to E! that though they were over, the parents would continue to focus on the baby:
“Diana Gonzalez-Jones and I have ended our relationship, however, we are committed to working together to raise our daughter in a healthy and happy environment."
While that is all pretty above board, Martinez couldn't help but take to Facebook to get in a couple of pot shots (via Star):
“People change it’s part of life, but sometimes it’s easier to hold on to the memories of who they were rather than to realize who they have become…”
They isn’t very nice. Thankfully he is usually much nicer when talking about matter of the heart. Maybe it’s just the soap operas talking.
