Trace Adkins New Chris Brown: Rehab, Alcohol Abuse and Fighting with Impersonator [UPDATE]

Whether it is just popping open a few beers or Billy Currington making threats to old men, fun things happen when you combine country music and boats. Recently, country star and 'Celebrity Apprentice' winner Trace Adkins got in a bit of a scuffle with himself on a country-themed cruise. After breaking his 12-year sobriety, the musician wrestled with his personal demons, as well a Trace Adkins impersonator. Now the singer has pulled a Chris Brown and checked himself into rehab for alcohol abuse, following the assault.

Trace Adkins was recently scheduled to appear at the country themed cruise for Norwegian Cruise Lines. During the cruise, the singer broke his 12-year-long sobriety and got into a drunken fight with a Trace Adkins impersonator.

Talk about beating yourself up. After the incident, Adkins departed the ship at the very next stop, angering many fans who expected to see the star.

Adkins almost immediately checked himself back into rehab. A spokesman for the singer released a statement to Country Weekly, reading:

“Trace has entered a treatment facility after a setback in his battle with alcoholism/ As he faces these issues head-on, we ask that his family’s privacy will be respected."

Adkins had previously spent a stint in rehab back in 2002 for the same alcohol abuse issues.

Adkins has received a lot of heat for canceling a string of shows. However, he is hoping to make it right with fans following his release.

Oddly enough, the very same day the cruise took off, Adkins, himself, tweeted this message:

“Up here in my suite, overlooking the pools. Behave yourselves.”

What do you think about Adkins drunken actions? Is this a mistake that anyone could have made, or will it serve as a black mark on the genre's already stained reputation? Let us know in the comments section below.
