A.V. Club: D.I.Y. Purists R. Stevie Moore and Gary Wilson's Blind Dates Hit ISSUE Project Room with Broken Down Ambience

Last week, Classicalite announced yet another performance at the ISSUE Project Room, a candid industrial work space located on Brooklyn's Boerum Hill.

This time, R. Stevie Moore and Gary Wilson and the Blind Dates took the stage in what became an unexpected and nearly sold-out performance.

Per the show, I suppose that the DIY modus operandi has its merits.

And yet, the small stage and big standing area provided for an ambient, perhaps even personal experience--something only a small space like ISSUE can harbor.

Via Classicalite's SoundCloud, one can discern their own feelings towards Wilson's dating phantasms.

And in this audio above, you'll hear the sultry sounds of a piano traversing Gary Wilson & Co.'s aquatic licks. Definitely a second date. ;0

Certainly, the show was worth the trip; the $15 ticket expense considered nominal.

ISSUE Project Room's next show features Michael Snow, Alan Licht and the Aki Onda Trio on Thursday, February 4. The show will begin at 8 p.m. with tickets at $15 for non-members/non-students and $12 for all members and students.

Check out the venue's website for further info.
