Sad news for fans (all three of them) of NBC’s new show Sean Saves The World. Sean Hayes recently announced that the s--t series has been canceled. However, Parks and Rec has been officially renewed for a seventh season. The show’s star, Amy Poehler, has also signed a three year development deal with the company.
NBC took some very “brave” steps with the new Thursday night comedy lineup. However, two of the shows failed to make it to the end of the first season.
The first show to be canceled was…ah who can even remember anymore, something with Mike O'Meally. Now Will and Grace’s Sean Hayes' new series, Sean Saves the World has also bit the dust.
Sean Hayes broke the news about the cancellation via his Twitter, writing:
"Thanks to @SeanSavesWorld actors & crew & @NBC for a wonderful opportunity. Looking forward to Obama's minimum wage increase to $10/hr."
There is still no word on the fate of The Michael J. Fox Show, however, it has been reported that it might be moved to a different night.
Meanwhile, Parks and Rec has been picked by up for another season.
NBC’s Robert Greenblatt officially made the announcement at the recent 2014 Winter TV Critics Association Press Tour:
"Parks and Rec is going to have a seventh season."
The show’s star, Amy Poehler, just signed a three year development deal for the network. Poehler’s former Saturday Night Live co-star and Golden Globes co-host, Tina Fey, has also signed a similar deal. So that means some good shows should soon be returning to the network.
