Crime-drama fans rejoice. Tonight there will be an all new episode of CBS' hit show, NCIS. Mark Hammon, Pauley Perrette and Sean Murray will be solving crimes along with the rest of the cast. The episode comes shortly after it was announced that Scott Bakula and CCH Pounder will be joining the New Orleans spin-off of the show.
Mild Spoiler Alert!
In case you were wondering what might be in store for the gang in this week's all new episode, TV Guide has published the following episode synopsis:

"The murder of a Port Authority officer reveals Parsa's possible whereabouts, as the team continue to search for the terrorist. Meanwhile, Bishop reveals her past association with the elusive terrorist."
Of course that pales in comparison to other NCIS-related news this week. It was recently revealed that Scott Bakula, of Quantum Leap fame, will be joining the cast of a spin-off series that is set to take place in the city of New Orleans, as USA Today explains:
"Bakula's character is described by the network as a unique man for a unique city, one who 'embodies New Orleans. He's driven by the need to do what's right and does it all with warmth, passion, strength and humor.'"
Bakula wasn't the only one cast in the upcoming show. Fans of Sons of Anarchy will be thrilled to know that CCH Pounder is also on board the project, as TV Line explains:
"Pounder will play Dr. Wade, the Jefferson Parish Medical Examiner, who is described as being as eccentric as she is smart, worldly, intuitive and incredibly connected to Louisiana."
What do you think about the new revelations? Are you excited to see Scott Bakula back on TV? What about CCH Pounder?
