SALE: Arthur Magazine Severely Discounts Entire Online Store, All CDs and Back Issues Not Sold Before March 2 Will Be Recycled

Arthur Magazine's online store is getting the boot come March. Everything, thus, must go.

One of the most revered counter-cultural periodicals of my lifetime, Jay Babcock's rag specialized in brilliant music writing, wild poesie (care of editor Travis Catsull) and lysergic, ad hoc essays featuring images from the likes of Spike Jonze, Art Spiegelman and Gary Panter.

Who could forget, too, the legendary "Bull Tongue" column from Thurston Moore and Byron Coley--the latter scribe recently made senior writer by Babcock?

Having gone from glossy to Net-only and now back in beautiful broadsheet form, Arthur's selling every last thing in its backlog to the general public.

And once it's gone, boy fuggin' howdy, it is gone.

The blowout sale includes those expertly curated CD releases discounted to $5 each, back issues priced even lower and pretty much anything else you can get your grubby little hands on.

Stuff still in existence after Sunday, March 2 goes into the blue bin because Joshua True resident Babcock always cleans up after himself.

Purchase your mail-order goodies via Arthur's store here. And be sure to check out the stockist list here for a more personal shopping experience.

Speaking of, here is one of the more surreal moments in Arthur mag's history...a 2006 interview with, umm, Sully Erna of Godsmack.
