J.K. Rowling Regrets: 'Harry Potter’s' Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe DON’T Belong Together?

When part of the interview between Emma Watson and J.K Rowling leaked last week, Harry Potter devotees were dealt quite the blow. Rowling admitted that she kept Hermione and Ron together in the end for personal reasons, and not because it best served the story. Now that the full interview has been released, it is apparent that even though Rowling feels Daniel Radcliffe's Potter and Hermione may truly belong together, J.K. feels she and Ron could probably make it work in the real world, maybe.

Emma Watson is serving as guest editor for Wonderland Magazine this month, and she chose to pack the fashion publication from cover to cover with her friends.

That is how J.K. Rowling has found herself in hot water for commenting in an interview that she feels that the Potter series' most famous couple were not the best match in the end (via In Touch):

"I can hear the rage and fury it might cause some fans, but if I'm absolutely honest, distance has given me perspective. It was a choice I made for very personal reasons."

But in the Wonderland interview, Rowling's feelings come off a little more complicate,d as she tries to project Ron and Hermione into the real world as a modern couple (via Guardian):

"I think the attraction itself is plausible but the combative side of it...I'm not sure you could have got over that in an adult relationship, there was too much fundamental incompatibility. Maybe she and Ron will be alright with a bit of counselling, you know. I wonder what happens at wizard marriage counselling.

"They'll probably be fine. He needs to work on his self-esteem issues and she needs to work on being a little less critical. Just like her creator, she has a real weakness for a funny man. These uptight girls, they do like them funny...It's such a relief from being so intense yourself--you need someone who takes life, or appears to take life, a little more lightheartedly."

That or Potter, who would naturally be there to lend emotional support to his friend Hermione, and next thing you know Ron's kids are calling Harry daddy.

You know how it is with these Hollywood couples.
