Earlier in the month, the fans of the hit Disney Channel series Good Luck Charlie said goodbye to the Duncan clan after four seasons. Now the show’s star, Bridgit Mendler, is opening up about her time on the show, as well as dating co-star Shane Harper. Mendler also had some very nice things to say about the young Mia Talerico, who was recently the recipient of some pretty nasty death threats.
Good Luck Charlie recently ended its four season run on The Disney Channel. In the beloved series, we saw the entire cast grow as a family. That connection is something the show’s star, Bridgit Mendler, will not ever forget. She recently spoke to Yahoo TV about her time as a Duncan:
"I think I'll really miss the Duncans. I think the characters and the dynamic that we all developed together was so fun, and by the end it just felt so effortless. It's like you're parting with a person when you leave your character, especially when you're working on something for that long."
In the last episode, Mendler and her real life boyfriend, Shane Harper, both performed a touching rendition of Elton John’s classic hit, “Your Song.” Mendler also spoke her relationship with Harper,adding:
"We knew each other for a while, were friends for a long time. And I think it was just one of those things where it kind of gradually turned into more. I think it's great that we knew each other for so long beforehand, so we were really friends...I think everybody was very respectful about it and wanted to make sure that it wouldn't be weird to see the relationship going on on the show at the same time. It was wonderful the way that everybody was kind of a family and looked out for each other."
Mendler may have been the show’s central character, but it was baby Charlie herself, Mia Talerico who really stole the spotlight. Where most child character on TV are played by twins, Mia was so impressive that she got the gig all by herself.
Mia was recently the recipient of some pretty twisted online death threats, however, Mendler had nothing but praise for the young actress:
"Mia [Talerico] was the most impressive baby I've ever worked with. It was fun going through all her different stages of babyhood with her."
