Juan Pablo has been accused of acting like he has other reasons for being on 2014 Season 18 of The Bachelor other than just meeting a nice girl to grow his family, by haters outside the romantic world created by the producers. Contestant Andi Dorfman was the first person from inside that world to also call out the Venezuelan entertainment consultant on the show.
Juan Pablo thought he was doing Andi Dorfman a favor by letting her stay on the show and taking her back to the fantasy suite for a nice time, but his ego wound up turning her off to the whole idea of spending one more date with Juan Pablo.
Juan Pablo seemed to think the night went fairly well, but Andi made it clear in her morning confessional that she didn't feel it went so smooth (via Fox):
"Waking up this morning I could not wait to get out of the fantasy suite.
"It turned into a nightmare...Not once did he really ask anything about me. He didn't care about who I was or what I want in life.
"There's no filter with him. He thinks he can say whatever he wants and everyone is going to laugh."
When Dorfman squared up to Galavis later that evening, she was ready to let him have it (via Fox):
"I realized that I wasn't in love with you and that I wasn't going to be.
"Do you think [the overnight] went well? When you tell me you already had an overnight with Clare, do you think that's offensive?
"Do I appreciate honesty? Absolutely. Do I think you take it too far? Absolutely. Do you not see there's a difference between being an a**hole and being honest?"
It was evident by Juan Pablo's response that he had clearly been devastated by the emotional wound that her unblunted criticism has imparted on his fiery Latin soul:
"Am I going to die right now? No. Am I sad? Yes."
Pablo Neruda couldn't have put it more poetically.
