Classic Brit Awards 2012: Andre Rieu tours Germany, Switzerland & France

Classic Brit Award winner, violinist Andre Rieu continues to tour with stops in three prominent Europe nations for the month of October. Andre Rieu will spend the remainder of October touring Germany, Switzerland and France in what will be very long season for the Dutch master.

Oct. 11 will see the award winning Rieu play in Frankfurt, Germany at the Festhalle Frankfurt where he will perform at 8 p.m. The next time Rieu will be in Germany will be on Jan. 1 and Jan. 2 at the LANXESS Arena in Koln.

Rieu will also have shows at Dusseldorf's Mitsubishi-Electric Halle slated for Jan. 9 and Oberhausen's Konig-Pilsener Arena on Jan. 10.

After his performance in Germany on Oct. 11 the violinist will cross the border to neighboring Switzerland where he will have two performances scheduled.

First of which will be held at the Hallenstadion in Zurich on Oct.12 followed by a show in Geneva at the Geneva Arena on Oct. 13 both shows will start at 8 p.m.

The end of October will see the Dutchman with the French last name tour France for nine days from Oct. 17 to Oct. 26.

His first stop will be in Strasbourg at the Zenith de Strasbourg on Oct. 17 followed by a performance in Amneville at the Galaxie on Oct. 18 the following day.

Day three into his French tourney, Rieu will visit the Zenith d'Amiens in Amiens on Oct. 19 then he is off to Rouen on Oct.20 to play in Le Zenith de Rouen.

Le Zenith de Nantes Metropole in Nantes will be his next destination on Sunday Oct. 21 then Rieu will take a day's rest and will return Oct. 23 to play at Le Zenith de Limoges in Limoges.

The final three days of October will see Rieu play first in Saint-Etienne at Le Zenith de Saint-Etienne on Oct. 24 thenthe city of Marseilles will welcome the musician at Le Dome de Marseille on Oct. 25.

Rieu will end the month in Toulouse at Le Zenith de Toulouse on Oct. 26 after which he will head to the Flanders in November with concerts set for Belgium and his native Netherlands.

Andre Rieu picked up the "Album of the Year," award at the 2012 Classic Brit Awards in Oct. 2 for his "And the Waltz Goes On," album on a night that saw Andrea Bocelli grab the "International Artist of the Year," title and Milos Karadaglic picking up the "Breakthrough Artist of the Year, " award.
